Shout! Factory is offering SciFi Japan readers a chance to win a GKIDS Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack of the Toho anime film FIREWORKS (?????????????????????, Uchiage Hanabi, Shita Kara Miru ka? Yoko Kara Miru ka?, 2017). This tale of star-crossed teenage lovers with a sci-fi fantasy twist was produced by Genki Kawamura (YOUR NAME). Shy Norimichi and fast-talking Yusuke are both enraptured by the same elusive classmate, Nazuna. But Nazuna, unhappy over her mother’s decision to remarry and leave their countryside town, plans to run away and has secretly chosen Norimichi to accompany her. When things don’t go as planned, Norimichi discovers that a glowing multi-colored ball found in the sea has the power to reset the clock and give them a second chance to be together. But each reset adds new complications and takes them farther and farther away from the real world -- until they risk losing sight of reality altogether. FIREWORKS debuts on Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack (SLP: $26.99) and DVD (SLP: $16.99) November 20 from GKIDS and Shout! Factory. The film is presented in Japanese and English with optional English and French subtitles, has a runtime of approximately 91 minutes and is not rated. Bonus materials include interviews with the English dub director and cast and trailers.
