Source: Madman Entertainment Special Thanks to Ben Pollock Ten years on, and the alien invasion has gone global. The Australian label Madman Entertainment will release the 2014 live action movie MONSTERS: DARK CONTINENT on Region 4 DVD and Blu-ray on July 1st. The film is the sequel to GODZILLA (2014) director Gareth Edwards` acclaimed MONSTERS (2010). Edwards served as Executive Producer on MONSTERS: DARK CONTINENT, which takes an "all action/all special effects" approach unlike the first film. The visual Effects were led by Hollywood stalwarts Seb Barker (28 WEEKS LATER) and Christian Bull (MAN OF STEEL, TOTAL RECALL), while the director is Tom Green, who cut his teeth on cult British show MISFITS. Ten years on from the events of MONSTERS, and the ‘Infected Zones’ have spread worldwide. Two soldiers embark on a life-altering mission through the dark heart of monster territory in the deserts of the Middle East. By the time they reach their goal, they will have been forced to confront the fear that the true monsters on the planet may not be alien after all.
