Love and laughs are in store for shonen fans next season with today’s announcement that the new romcom drama series 2.5 DIMENSIONAL SEDUCTION (2.5次元の誘惑, Nitengo-jigen no Ririsa, 2024) will stream exclusively this summer on HIDIVE, the popular anime streaming service from AMC Networks. Celebrating the world of cosplay, 2.5 DIMENSIONAL SEDUCTION is not simply a romcom, it is also a serious teen drama about passionate teenagers and their endeavors overcoming both their worries and dilemmas to become the best cosplayers they can possibly be.
Based on the widely read manga series by Yu Hashimoto, 2.5 DIMENSIONAL SEDUCTION is now the latest addition to HIDIVE’s expanding line-up of simulcasts for its Summer 2024 season. In advance of the series’ debut in July, HIDIVE will host the North American premiere of 2.5 DIMENSIONAL SEDUCTION Episode 1 on July 4 at Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles, Calif.

"I have no interest in real girls!" So claims Okumura, the president of the school's manga club. He's your typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Liliel. Then the new school year starts, and a (real!) 3D girl named Ririsa whose passion is cosplay joins the club. Ririsa convinces Okumura to become her photographer—and guess who her favorite manga character is? Not only that, but Ririsa is into modeling the fetishy stuff! The boundaries between 2D and 3D start to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
2.5 DIMENSIONAL SEDUCTION is adapted from the currently 19-volume-long manga title created by Yu Hashimoto that launched in June 2019 and is serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+. The English language version of the manga is published by Seven Seas Entertainment. 2.5 DIMENSIONAL SEDUCTION is directed by Hideki Okamoto along with writing by Takao Yoshioka and production by J.C.Staff.
