Kadokawa Pictures have provided multiple updates for "GAMERA -Rebirth-" (ガメラ リバース, Gamera Ribāsu), the 6-episode anime series which will be distributed worldwide on Netflix later this year.

GAMERA -Rebirth- Stage Presentation will be held at AnimeJapan 2023!
The 10th anniversary of AnimeJapan 2023, the world's largest anime event, will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight international exhibition center on March 25 and 26, 2023. A GAMERA -Rebirth- presentation will be held on the main stage of the festival, and will also be broadcast live on YouTube. The lead voice actors will be present to announce new details about the series, and also introducee the worldwide premiere of the latest animated preview video.

Following the presenation, a promotional "Gamera Newspaper" will be distributed at Kadokawa's booth. Kadokawa will also premier the first merchandising for GAMERA -Rebirth- at AnimeJapan 2023.

Story: Introduction
The last summer. Friends. And Kaiju...
In the summer of 1989, Boco, Joe, and Junichi were in the 6th grade, and in their last summer vacation as elementary school students.
Each of them has vague fears about the future.
Then Brody, the son of the commander of the U.S. forces in Japan, confronts them.
Brody steals the cash the three of them have saved.
Angered, Boco and his friends devise a plan to get their money back.
Just as they are about to execute their plan, the town is hit by a crisis.
The monster Gyaos suddenly attacks Tokyo.
The four boys are trapped in a town reduced to ruins by Gyaos.
As Gyaos sets its sights on them, a giant monster appears.
Its name is Gamera.
This was the beginning of their "Summer of Kaiju."
The monsters appear one after another. Gamera fights back despite his wounds.
And the boys witness a legend.
最後の夏。友達。そして怪獣——。
1989年夏、小学６年生のボコ、ジョー、ジュンイチは、小学生最後の夏休みを迎えていた。
それぞれの心にある、将来に対する漠然とした不安。
そんな３人の前に、在日米軍司令官の息子、ブロディが現れた。
3人で貯めた現金をうばっていくブロディ。
怒ったボコたちは、お金を取り返すための作戦を計画する。
その作戦を実行しようとした時、町に危機が訪れる。
怪獣ギャオスが突如、東京に襲来したのだ。
ギャオスによって廃墟となった町に立ちすくむ４人。
ギャオスが彼らに狙いを定めた時、巨大な怪獣が現れる。
その名はガメラ。
これが4人の「怪獣の夏」の始まりだった。
次々と現れる怪獣。傷つきながらも戦うガメラ。
そして少年たちは伝説を目撃する。
