North Star Pictures JP have the latest casting additions for their upcoming monster movie, KAIJU: ISLAND OF FIRE. The first film in a planned franchise, the story begins when a geological anomaly is discovered by a team of scientists on an ancient Japanese Island. After the members of a construction team, who were in the process of building a new military base there, go missing, a combined military and science task force is sent to investigate. Once on the island, the task force encounters a foreboding, fiery landscape now home to a strange and terrifying creature, capable of destroying them...and all who venture near!
KAIJU: ISLAND OF FIRE is written and directed by Andrew L. Phillips (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES). The main cast features a mix of experienced actors and stunt performers, newcomers, and beloved legacy actors from kaiju cinema. The latest names to be announced are...
Tom Constantine -- Constatine is an actor and stuntman with credits in Toei productions such as SPACE SQUAD: GAVAN VS. DEKARANGER (スペース・スクワッド ギャバンVSデカレンジャー, Supēsu Sukuwaddo Gyaban Tai Dekarenjā, 2017) and KAMEN RIDER: REIWA THE FIRST GENERATION (仮面ライダー 令和 ザ・ファースト・ジェネレーション, Kamen Raidā Reiwa Za Fāsuto Jenerēshon, 2019), the G.I. Joe movie SNAKE EYES (2021) and the series POWER RANGERS: DINO FURY (2021-22).
Robert Scott Field -- Robert is a very familiar face to kaiju fans, having previously portrayed Android M11 in the hit GODZILLA VS KING GHIDORAH (ゴジラVSキングギドラ, Gojira tai Kingu Gidora, 1991) and one of the human hosts of Ultraseven 21 in the series ULTRAMAN NEOS (ウルトラマンネオス, Urutoraman Neosu, 2000-01). His recent credits include THE GREAT BUDDHA ARRIVAL (大仏廻国, Daibutsu Kokaiku, 2019), GOD RAIGA VS KING OHGA (深海獣雷牙 対 溶岩獣王牙 Shinkaijū Raiga tai Yōganjū Ōga,, 2019) and the upcoming HOSHI 35 星35).
Duncan Buckley -- Buckley is a stuntman, FX artist, and actor. His credits include Onzoshi Boys (御曹司ボーイズ , Onzōshi Bōizu, 2019), THE FABLE (ザ・ファブル, Za Faburu, 2019) and CAUTION, HAZARDOUS WIFE: THE MOVIE (奥様は、取り扱い注意, Okusama wa, Tori Atsukai Chui, 2021). He is also the Visual Effects Supervisor for KAIJU: ISLAND OF FIRE.
Key -- Key is making his professional acting debut in KAIJU: ISLAND OF FIRE.
Cedric Watine - This versatile stage actor is making his feature film debut in KAIJU: ISLAND OF FIRE.
Eri Nishimoto - Having worked in indie films, Nishimoto is now working on her biggest feature film with KAIJU: ISLAND OF FIRE.
