Executive producer Eiichiro Oda presents the ultimate entertainment epic!!! 19 years after the manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Eiichiro Oda`s ONE PIECE stands as an international anime and merchandising success. This summer, Toei unveils the long-awaited next chapter... ONE PIECE FILM GOLD (?????????????, Wan Piisu Firumu Goorudo). Oda returns as executive producer, while longtime ONE PIECE TV series director Hiroaki Miyamoto directs from the screenplay by Tsutomu Kuroiwa (BLACK BUTLER). Joining the ONE PIECE voice cast are several special guest stars, including Hikari Mitsushima (ULTRAMAN MAX, DEATH NOTE), Gaku Hamada (ULTRAMAN GAIA: THE BATTLE IN HYPERSPACE, FISH STORY), Nanao (WOLF GIRL AND BLACK PRINCE), Kendo Kobayashi (YATTERMAN) and Kinya Kitaoji (THE INCITE MILL ?7 DAY DEATH GAME?). The film`s theme song is performed by the duo GLIM SPANKY, while singer-songwriter Mayumi Kojima provides a special musical number she described as a tribute to the "genius of Eiichiro Oda". Toei will release ONE PIECE FILM GOLD in Japanese cinemas on Saturday, July 23, 2016.

STORY

Pirates, Marines, and millionaires from around the world gather at the world`s largest entertainment city -- the floating casino Grantesoro owned by the "Golden Emperor" Gild Tesoro. With his vast amounts of wealth, the casino king is a power beyond the control of the world government. Friends and foes alike refer to him by the nickname "Monster". Gild Tesoro`s agenda soon becomes clear... world domination. Despising those without money and believing that those with less have no choice but to be controlled, he vows to take everything that the Straw Hat Pirates have fought to protect. As Monster makes his move, will Straw Hat`s future become one of domination? Or freedom?
