Gentlemen -- This is "The Accelerated World". Warner Bros. Pictures Japan has provided information and images from their upcoming release, ACCEL WORLD: INFINITE BURST (?????????????????????, Akuseru Waarudoo Infinitto Baasutoo). The anime film will open in Japanese cinemas on July 23rd. ACCEL WORLD: INFINITE BURST is an original story by Accel World creator Reki Kawahara (Sword Art Online). Kawahara`s Accel World light novel series has sold more than 4.5 million copies, while the first novel also won the Grand Prize at ASCII Media Works’ 15th Dengeki Novel Prize in 2008. A 24 episode ACCEL WORLD television series from the famed animation studio Sunrise (TIGER & BUNNY, MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM, CODE GEASS, COWBOY BEBOP, KEKKAISHI) debuted in 2012. Four years later, the cast and crew from the anime series have reunited to present the evolution of "The Accelerated World". STORY Tokyo: the year 2047. Ruby: Virtual Battle -- the ultimate in virtual fighting -- begins. The online fight game takes place in "Brain Burst", a virtual world on the web. Players called burst linkers (which number over 1000) enjoy combat in an "Accelerated World". Among them is Haruyuki Arita, a student at the private Umesato Junior High School. He is a member of the Nega Nebulus legion led by his classmate, Kuroyukihime. During a battle, the Nega Nebulus witness a huge, jet-black tornado. Suddenly the line is disconnected. The mysterious phenomenon gradually spreads, preventing access to areas of "The Accelerated World". What has on earth has happened to "The Accelerated World"?
