Arrow Video US and MVD Entertainment are offering SciFi Japan readers a chance to win their new THE DAIMAJIN TRILOGY Limited Edition Blu-ray Set. The collection includes all three Daiei giant monster movies that transplants the Golem legend to Japan’s Warring States period of the late-16th century.
In DAIMAJIN (大魔神), directed by Kimiyoshi Yasuda (YOKAI MONSTERS, ZATOICHI ON THE ROAD), the young son and daughter of the benevolent feudal lord Hanabusa flee to the mountains when their parents are slain by the treacherous usurper Odate. Ten years later, when the elderly priestess who has harboured them is also murdered, the rage of the slumbering ancient god that lies beneath the crumbling giant stone idol hidden deep in the forests in the mountains is invoked.
In RETURN OF DAIMAJIN (大魔神怒る, Daimajin Ikaru), Kenji Misumi (TALE OF ZATOICHI, LONE WOLF AND CUB) brings his usual stylistic flourish, as the wrathful deity is roused from his new home on an island in the middle of a lake by the violent incursions of a vicious warlord.
In the final film, WRATH OF DAIMAJIN (大魔神逆襲, Daimajin Gyakushu), by veteran jidaigeki director Kazuo Mori, four young boys make a perilous trip to elicit the help of the ancient mountain god in freeing their family members who have been enslaved by a tyrannical lord.
Arrow's THE DAIMAJIN TRILOGY offers nHD presentations of the films with the original Japanese audio, English dubs and optional English subtitles. Bonus Features include brand new audio commentaries, visual essays, alternative US opening credits, tOriginal Trailers, Image Galleries, an llustrated collector’s 100 page book, and reversible sleeves featuring original and newly commissioned artwork by Matt Frank. Prize:
A. There are four (4) prizes, each consisting of one (1) THE DAIMAJIN TRILOGY Limited Edition Blu-ray Set.
B. The prizes will be shipped to the contest winners so entrants must include a valid mailing address. This contest is only open to participants in the United States and Canada.
C. In the event that a winner chooses not to (or cannot) accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. D. One entry per person. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes allowed.
Duration of contests:
A. The "THE DAIMAJIN TRILOGY" contest runs from July19 until 11:59pm on August 2, 2021.
How to enter:
A. Submit your name, email address, and mailing address for the random drawing.
B. Be sure to write "THE DAIMAJIN TRILOGY" in the subject header of your email entry. SciFi Japan often runs multiple contests at the same time, so any entries without "THE DAIMAJIN TRILOGY" in the subject header will be discarded.
Determination of winners:
A. Only contestants who have submitted the requested information will be entered in the final drawing. The first four randomly drawn eligible entries will be judged the winners for this contest.
