The newly-formed entertainment company OVERLAP, Inc. has announced plans for a complete relaunch of the IS ?Infinite Stratos? (IS???????????????, IS ?Infinitto Sutoratosu?) franchise in 2013. Author Izuru Yumizuru transferred the property to OVERLAP following a lengthy dispute with publisher Media Factory, which had kept the Infinite Stratos light novel series on hold since the release of Volume 7 in April 2011. OVERLAP will pick up the series with IS ?Infinite Stratos? Volume 8, scheduled for release on April 25th. That same day, OVERLAP will also begin offering new editions of the Infinite Stratos previously published by Media Factory, starting with Volumes 1 and 2. Volumes 3 and 4 will follow on May 25th, 5 and 6 on June 25th, and Volume 7 will wrap the reissues on July 25th. But the relaunch will officially kick off on Saturday, April 20th, when OVERLAP partners with Sony`s promotional division, Livespire, for the IS ?INFINITE STRATOS? All-Night Festival (IS?????????????). This special event will be held at twelve cinemas in five different metropolitan areas across Japan, with the Ikebukuro Sunshine Cinema as the main venue. Running from 11:30pm until approximately 5:00am, April 21st, the All-Night Festival will feature screenings of thirteen episodes of the INFINITE STRATOS anime plus a panel discussion with voice actors Koki Uchiyama, Yoko Hikasa, Yukana, Asami Shimoda and Marina Inoue. After midnight, attendees will also receive an advance copy of the Limited Edition Infinite Stratos Volume 8 (packaged with an exclusive DVD). Admission price for the event is ¥3800. ?
