The Fullmetal Alchemist manga started in 2001 and ended in June 2010, selling over 50 million volumes. It was adapted into a TV animation series of 51 episodes in 2003. The second season started of 64 episodes debuted in 2009 on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network and is still being aired as of September 2011. The feature film FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: THE SACRED STAR OF MILOS was released in Japan on July 2, 2011.
