Funimation announced the MY HERO ACADEMIA Show featuring voice actors along with an exciting lineup of cosplay panels and tutorials featuring cosplay personalities Yaya Han, Riddle, Phil Mizuno, Stella Chuu, Alicia Marie and DressesandCapes. Fireside Chat with Yaya Han – Join Yaya Han for a sit-down discussion about the evolution of cosplay and a reading from her new book. The discussion is moderated by Michelle Bradley. Yaya Han® is a cosplayer, designer and author. A household name in fandom, Yaya has made over 385 costumes, appeared as a guest at hundreds of events all over the globe, and has been featured in two US Network TV Shows. Yaya is the first cosplayer to create a cosplay-focused fabric line for Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores; the first to design a cosplay patterns line for a major pattern company, McCall Patterns; and the first cosplayer to launch partnerships with global brands such as BERNINA sewing machines and Dremel tools. Her new book, Yaya Han’s World of Cosplay, is available in North America on August 4th, 2020.
LIVE Cosplay Showdown: Pro Vs Pro! – Watch top cosplayers Riddle, Phil Mizuno, DressesandCapes Cosplay, Alicia Marie, face-off LIVE against one another to create a mystery cosplay or prop in less than an hour, with whatever they have at home! The winner will get a $5k donation to the charity of their choice! The Live Showdown features cosplayers Riddle, Phil Mizuno, DressesandCapes Cosplay, and Alicia Marie. Riki Lecotey (known as Riddle) is internationally recognized in the cosplay community for her ability to translate costumes and focus on craftsmanship. Phil Mizuno is a Canadian cosplayer who followed his heart and is pursuing his passion of cosplay to help inspire others. He has been cosplaying for five years and creates his beautiful costumes in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). Lauren aka Dressesandcapes, started her cosplay journey about five years ago and it’s been a whirlwind ever since. The self-taught seamstress and crafter has already won several awards. CI-borg Alicia Marie is an author and fitness pro who turned her love of super-physiques, comic books, video game and anime art into a creative career.
Learn to make masks from home with Riddle! Learn how to make face masks from home with renown cosplayer, Riddle. She’s been a strong name in international cosplay for a number of years, known for her focus on craftsmanship, appearing in both seasons of Heroes of Cosplay and her extensive charity work.
Beginner’s Cosplay Crafting with Stella Chuu – Join cosplayer Stella Chuu as she walks us through a beginner-level crafting tutorial and discussion! Stella Chuu started cosplaying in 2011, Stella is a self-taught artist and entrepreneur. She dedicates her days to creating cosplay and promoting geek culture.
