The KUROKO`S BASKETBALL (??????, Kuroko no Basuke) anime series comes to the big screen with a quartet of films. Also known as THE BASKETBALL WHICH KUROKO PLAYS, the anime is adapted from Tadatoshi Fujimaki`s manga, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2009 to 2014. The collected volumes of Kuroko’s Basketball have sold more than 30 million copies. The first three movies are being billed as the KUROKO`S BASKETBALL: WINTER CUP OMNIBUS (?????? ???????????, Kuroko no Basuke Uintaakappu Sooshuuhen). They are compilations of the series` third season -- currently streaming in North America on Crunchyroll -- in which the Seirin High School basketball team competes in the Winter Cup tournament. Each film will open in Japanese theaters on a Saturday (September 3, October 8, December 3) and have a 2 week limited run. The compilations will lead into KUROKO`S BASKETBALL: LAST GAME (??? ?????? LAST GAME, Gekijooban Kuroko no Basuke Rasuto Geemu), an all-new feature film based on the manga story Kuroko’s Basketball EXTRA GAME (?????? EXTRA GAME, Kuroko no Basuke Ekisutora Geemu). LAST GAME will be released on a TBA date in 2017.
