Based on an original garage kit by Ryu Oyama from Winter Wonder Festival 2010, the standard color Gigantic Series Godzilla 1995 soft vinyl figure was first released by X-Plus in May 2014. The company also issued a Frozen Version with new colors and texturing in October 2016. Unlike the previous releases, this new version is a model kit that must be fully assembled. Scheduled for release in August 2016, the publication/figure sets were never produced. But, inspired by the demands of Godzilla fans, on December 22nd Kadokawa began taking pre-orders on a new collaboration with X-Plus; a Shin Godzilla limited edition color kit that would be sold on its own.
