On October 2nd, the Australian label Madman Entertainment will release the Korean romantic fantasy A WEREWOLF BOY (????, Neuk-dae so-nyun, 2012) on Region 4 DVD. The highest grossing melodrama ever in South Korea, A WEREWOLF BOY outsold THE DARK KNIGHT RISES at the domestic cinema in the same year. The film was an Official Selection of the 2013 Melbourne International Film Festival, 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, Udine Far East Film Festival and 2013 New Zealand International Film Festival. It will also be the opening night film for the 2013 Korean Film Festival in Australia, playing across 3 cities in August and September. Due to an ailment with her lungs, Suni (Park Bo-young) and her mother move to the clean air of the countryside. One day, they discover a strange feral boy (Song Joong-ki) lurking around the property. Thinking he`s a refugee of the war, they take him in and discover that he doesn`t know how to read or speak. As Suni attempts to "civilize" the beast, naming him Cheol-su, the two eventually become very close. But soon, outside forces threaten to pull them apart... and as the threat closes in, Cheol-su starts to let loose his bestial instincts.
