On April 17, 2013, Takashi Miike`s ACE ATTORNEY (????, Gyakuten Saiban, 2012) will be released on DVD by the Australian label, Madman Entertainment. Based on the popular Capcom game for Nintendo Game Boy and DS (ACE ATTORNEY 5 game to be released by Nintendo in 2013), ACE ATTORNEY was an Official Selection at the 2012 Melbourne International Film Festival, where it was one of the first films to sell out its sessions. A North American home video release has yet to be announced. In the near future, an overflowing court system dictates that all trials can only convene for 3 days -- then a verdict must be reached. Phoenix Wright (Ryuichi Naruhodo) is a novice lawyer who takes on a difficult murder case against prosecutor Miles Edgeworth (Takumi Saitoh), who has a perfect win record. When Miles finds himself accused, it`s up to Phoenix to defend him against the most successful prosecutor ever -- Manfred von Karma (Ryo Ishibashi), who has not lost a case in 40 years. In order to win, he must dig up clues from a 15 year old cold case and uncover the real killer.
