Both seasons of the beloved, fan-favorite sibling romantic comedy will be released on 2 Blu-ray Box Sets this year, giving fans the first chance to own the complete series on Blu-ray.

The OREIMO 2 Complete Blu-ray Box Set will include all 13 episodes of the second season, the 3 OVA episodes, and the “Gal-ge” short movies. Both Blu-ray Box Sets will come with special illustration cards and a package designed by Original Illustrator Kanzakihiro. OREIMO 1 will be released on May 29, 2018, and OREIMO 2 will be released August 21, 2018. Based on the light novel series of the same name that sold over 3.7 million copies, OREIMO made waves in the otaku community with its endearing portrayal of the otaku lifestyle told by an ensemble of hilarious yet relatable characters. The series inspired its own manga, drama CDs, multiple video games with alternate endings, and even a partnership with Chiba Urban Monorail that decked out a Japanese monorail in full fanfare to promote the second season. OREIMO received the highly-anticipated anime adaptation in October 2010 and after overwhelming demand, a second season was greenlit, and the second season, OREIMO 2 began airing April 2013. The story zeroes in on Kyousuke Kousaka, an ordinary high school student living under the same roof as his athletic, pretty, and popular little sister, Kirino Kousaka. Over the years, the siblings’ strained relationship had become aloof at best, and cruel at worst, until a breaking point finally erupts and Kyousuke discovers that his little sister has a secret -- Kirino is actually an obsessive consumer of anime and adult video games! After discovering Kirino’s otaku tendencies, Kyousuke keeps her secret from their parents and decides to try and repair their relationship, and only then does his little sister let him into her world, episode by episode. The series is original light novel author Tsukasa Fushimi’s first dive into the world of romantic sibling comedy, with the franchise quickly becoming an unofficial hallmark of the genre. Mr. Fushimi then went on to pen another sibling-centered comedy series, EROMANGA SENSEI, which is set in the same universe and received a 12 episode anime adaptation that aired in spring 2017. OREIMO features a heavy-hitting cast of top shelf talent, with Yuichi Nakamura (The irregular at magic high school, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD) as Kyousuke Kousaka, Ayana Taketatsu (SWORD ART ONLINE, THE ASTERISK WAR) as Kirino Kousaka, Kana Hanazawa (MARCH COMES IN LIKE A LION, BLUE EXORCIST) as Kuroneko, and Saori Hayami (Monogatari Series, FATE/APOCRYPHA) as Ayase Aragaki. Animation studio A-1 Pictures (SWORD ART ONLINE, EROMANGA SENSEI) animated the series with director Hiroyuki Kanbe, and the studio teamed up with composer Satoru Kosaki (KIZUMONOGATARI, NISEKOI) to provide the music for the series. About OREIMO (?????????????????, Ore no Imooto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai., 2010) OREIMO is an adaptation of Tsukasa Fushimi’s light novel series Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. The popular comedic novel series-turned hit anime originally aired in 2010 in Japan. The story follows the daily life of an ordinary high school boy named Kyousuke Kousaka. Kyousuke’s younger sister Kirino is a pretty fashion model, but also hides a dark secret of being an otaku of adult games.
