? ????????????????????? ? ?????Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired exclusive rights to the action-packed shounen sports anime AHIRU NO SORA (?????) through a worldwide licensing arrangement excluding Asia. The all-new television series is based on the best-selling manga by Takeshi Hinata and debuts October 2019. He may be shorter in stature, but Sora Kurumatani can soar and score on the basketball court! With a passion for the sport he inherited from his mother, Sora vows to her that he’ll take top prize at a high school basketball tournament... but there’s one problem. His new school’s basketball club has turned into a hangout for delinquents! Will Sora’s sheer tenacity and amazing three-point shooting change their minds and get the club up and running again? Produced by Studio Diomed?a (DOMESTIC GIRLFRIEND, MY GIRLFRIEND IS SHOBITCH, SQUID GIRL), AHIRU NO SORA is directed by Keizou Kusakawa (Problem children are coming from another world, aren`t they?, ASURA CRYIN’, INUKAMI!). The series’ music is by Hiroaki Tsutsumi (MEGANEBU!, LONG RIDERS!, ANIMA YELL!) and its theme song is performed by the pillows (BECK, FLCL, SKET DANCE). The series stars Yuki Kaji (HAIKYU!!, BLUE SPRING RIDE, FROM THE NEW WORLD) as Sora Kurumatani, Katsuyuki Konishi SOZUKI`S COOLHEADEDNESS, D-FRAG!, SILVER SPOON) as Chiaki Hanazono, Sayaka Senbongi (THE DEMON GIRL NEXT DOOR, JUST BECAUSE!, THE RYOU`S WORK IS NEVER DONE!) as Madoka Yabuuchi, Mamoru Miyano (CHIHAYAFURU, GATCHAMAN CROWDS, FREE!) as Kaname Shigeyoshi, Kishou Taniyama (SPECIAL A, BASQUASH!, La corda d`oro: Blue Sky) as Kenji Natsume and Yuma Uchida (ACE OF THE DIAMOND act II , KONO OTO TOMARE!, MIX) as Momoharu Hanazono. The series will be available to stream on select digital outlets this October with a home video release to follow.
