Shout! Factory is offering SciFi Japan readers a chance to win a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack of MAQUIA: WHEN THE PROMISED FLOWER BLOOMS (????????????????, Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana o Kazaro, 2018), winner of Best Animated Film at the Shanghai International Film Festival and awarded Best Film for Fantastic Discovery at Spain’s Sitges Film Festival. MAQUIA is the directorial debut of renowned and prolific screenwriter Mari Okada (ANOHANA THE MOVIE: THE FLOWER WE SAW THAT DAY and THE ANTHEM OF THE HEART –BEAUTIFUL WORD BEAUTIFUL WORLD-). A heartwarming story of a mother’s love and irreplaceable time, the film dives into the dilemmas of motherhood, adolescence, femininity, and leadership. MAQUIA: WHEN THE PROMISED FLOWER BLOOMS debuts on Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack (SLP: $26.99) February 5 from ELEVEN ARTS and Shout! Factory. The film is presented in Japanese and English with optional English and French subtitles, has a runtime of approximately 93 minutes and is not rated. Bonus materials include a 25-minute "Making Of" featurette plus TV spots and trailers.

Prize: A. There are two (2) prizes, with each prize consisting of one (1) MAQUIA: WHEN THE PROMISED FLOWER BLOOMS Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack. B. Prizes will be shipped to the contest winners so entrants must include a valid mailing address. This contest is only open to participants in the United States and Canada. C. In the event that a winner chooses not to (or cannot) accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. D. One entry per person. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes allowed. Duration of contests: A. The "MAQUIA: WHEN THE PROMISED FLOWER BLOOMS" contest runs from February 3 until 11:59pm on February 17, 2019. How to enter: A.
