Well Go USA Entertainment is offering SciFi Japan readers a chance to win a Blu-ray of SAMURAI MARATHON (サムライマラソン, 2019), the action-adventure flick with a samurai twist. Award-winning director Bernard Rose -- whose wildly diverse career has spanned horror classics (CANDYMAN), historical romances (ANNA KARENINA) and indie dramas (IVANS xtc) -- co-wrote the screenplay with Japan’s Hiroshi Saito and Kikumi Yamagishi based on the novel The Marathon Samurai: Five Tales of Japan’s First Marathon. Inspired by a race still held yearly, the film follows an aging lord who challenges his samurai to a grueling marathon -- joined covertly by his daughter -- and the group must overcome deadly odds to survive. SAMURAI MARATHON stars Takeru Satoh (RUROUNI KENSHIN: FINAL CHAPTER), Nana Komatsu (THE WORLD OF KANAKO, SILENCE), Mirai Moriyama (RAGE, VISION), Shota Sometani (FIRST LOVE) and Danny Huston (X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, TV’s YELLOWSTONE). SAMURAI MARATHON debuts on Blu-ray (SLP: $29.98), Digital and DVD (SLP: $24.98) July 14 from Well Go USA Entertainment. The film is presented in the original Japanese with English subtitles.

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES and INFORMATION

This contest is only open to participants in the United States and Canada. C. In the event that a winner chooses not to (or cannot) accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. D. One entry per person. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes allowed. Duration of contests: A. The "SAMURAI MARATHON" contest runs from July 17 until 11:59pm on July 28, 2020. How to enter: A. Submit your name, email address, and mailing address for the random drawing. B. Be sure to write "SAMURAI MARATHON" in the subject header of your email entry. SciFi Japan often runs multiple contests at the same time, so any entries without "SAMURAI MARATHON" in the subject header will be discarded. Determination of winners: A. Only contestants who have submitted the requested information will be entered in the final drawing. The first four randomly drawn eligible entries will be judged the winners for this contest. B. SciFi Japan is not responsible for typographical, electronic or other errors in Internet operation affecting the offering, outcome, administration of the contest or the announcement of prizes. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. C. The decision of Well Go USA and SciFi Japan is final.
