Funimation Entertainment is offering SciFi Japan readers a chance to win a copy of their new SPEED RACER: The Complete Series Blu-ray. The 5-disc set includes all 52 episodes of the 1967 anime series with the classic English dub starring Peter Fernandez and Corrine Orr. Speed Racer is an 18-year-old boy who dreams of driving his car, the incredible Mach 5, in professional races around the world. When the going gets tough and meddling crooks try to keep him from the finish line, he always finds a way to make it through. Join Trixie, Pops, Spritle, Chim Chim, and the whole gang as they root for Speed in the most nail-biting, death-defying races in history! SPEED RACER: The Complete Series will be released on Blu-ray (SRP $29.98) and DVD ($24.98) by Funimation on May 30th. The episodes are presented in their original 4:3 aspect ratio, dubbed in English with English subtitles for the hearing impaired. The series has a total runtime of approximately 1300 minutes.
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES and INFORMATION
Prize: A. There is one (1) prize, consisting of one (1) SPEED RACER: The Complete Series Blu-ray. B. The prize will be shipped to the contest winner so entrants must include a valid mailing address. This contest is only open to participants in the United States and Canada. C. In the event that a winner chooses not to (or cannot) accept the prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. D. One entry per person. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes allowed. Duration of contests: A. The "SPEED RACER: The Complete Series" contest runs from May 28 until 11:59pm on June 10, 2017. How to enter: A. Submit your name, email address, and mailing address for the random drawing. B. Be sure to write "SPEED RACER: The Complete Series" in the subject header of your email entry. SciFi Japan often runs multiple contests at the same time, so any entries without "SPEED RACER: The Complete Series" in the subject header will be discarded. Determination of winners: A. Only contestants who have submitted the requested information will be entered in the final drawing. The first randomly drawn eligible entry will be judged the winne for this contest. B. SciFi Japan is not responsible for typographical, electronic or other errors in Internet operation affecting the offering, outcome, administration of the contest or the announcement of prizes. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. C. The decision of Funimation and SciFi Japan is final. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the SciFi Japan judges, which are final and binding in all respects. D. Following the drawing, the winner will be notified via email.
