Well Go USA Entertainment is offering SciFi Japan readers a chance to win a Blu-ray of the Japanese action comedy ONE-PERCENT WARRIOR (originally titled 1%er ONE-PERCENTER, 1%er ワンパーセンター, 1%er Wan Pāsentā, 2022). International action sensation Tak Sakaguchi (BAD CITY, VERSUS, GODZILLA: FINAL WARS) stars as a legendary, aging action film star who is drawn into the real world of violence when feuding yakuza gangs infiltrate the set of his directorial feature debut. Caught in the middle of a chaotic battle with an increasing body count, he must face whether his martial arts training is enough to save him.
Written and directed by Yûdai Yamaguchi (THE ABCS OF DEATH, DEADBALL), with action choreography by Kensuke Sonomura (HYDRA, BABY ASSASSINS), ONE-PERCENT WARRIOR also stars Sho Aoyagi (THE BLOOD OF WOLVES II, YAKUZA APOCALYPSE), Itsuji Itao (MOONLIGHT MASK), Kenjiro Ishimaru (RING 2), and Keisuke Horibe (TOKYO GORE POLICE). The film also features premiere Jeet Kune Do master Ishii Togo.
Synopsis:
After his devastatingly fast, samurai-style combat approach sets filmmakers against him, a legendary action star (Tak Sakaguchi) films his own movie—on turf claimed by feuding yakuza gangs, including Japan’s deadliest martial arts assassin.
ONE-PERCENT WARRIOR debuts on Blu-ray (SLP: $29.98) and Digital March 12 from Well Go USA Entertainment before streaming exclusively on Hi-YAH! starting April 5. The film has a runtime of approximately 86 minutes, is not rated, and comes with an English dub and making-of content.
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES and INFORMATION
Prize:
A. There are four (4) prizes, with each prize consisting of one (1) ONE-PERCENT WARRIOR Blu-ray.
B. Prizes will be shipped to the contest winners so entrants must include a valid mailing address. This contest is only open to participants in the United States and Canada.
C. In the event that a winner chooses not to (or cannot) accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize.
D. One entry per person. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes allowed.
Duration of contests:
A. The “ONE-PERCENT WARRIOR” contest runs from March 4 until 11:59pm on March 15, 2024.
How to enter:
A. Submit your name, email address, and mailing address for the random drawing.
B. Be sure to write “ONE-PERCENT WARRIOR” in the subject header of your email entry. SciFi Japan often runs multiple contests at the same time, so any entries without “ONE-PERCENT WARRIOR” in the subject header will be discarded.
C. Contest entrants may receive an email newsletter from SciFi Japan.
Determination of winners:
A. Only contestants who have submitted the requested information will be entered in the final drawing. The first four randomly drawn eligible entries will be judged the winners for this contest.
B. SciFi Japan is not responsible for typographical, electronic or other errors in Internet operation affecting the offering, outcome, administration of the contest or the announcement of prizes. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
C. The decision of Well Go USA and SciFi Japan is final. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the SciFi Japan judges, which are final and binding in all respects.
