Tokyu Recreation Co., Ltd.'s (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Shinzo Kanno)109 Cinemas is a movie theater complex chain with 183 screens in 20 sites across Japan. The company is constantly introducing the latest technology in their theaters; `IMAX, IMAX Laser/GT Technology and ScreenX (Premium Large Format) were all introduced to Japan by 109 Cinemas. They have also developed the premium pure sound system "SAION", supervised by world-renowned musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, to produce a high-quality sound experience for all their theaters.
Tokyu Recreation is also working in a variety of fields related to their theaters, such as the coffee service TAG COFFEE STAN(D) which offers customized lemon squash and oolong tea drinks. By using Suntory's "TAG LIVE LABEL" service, customers can print characters, photos, etc. on their beverage labels. Exclusive banners for current and upcoming movies are also available as collectible labels. TAG LIVE LABEL is available not only for moviegoers but also for those who do not have movie tickets.
In April 2023, TAG LIVE LABEL debuted at 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku, and was well received by customers. This month, the service will be introduced at two additional locations; the 109 Cinemas Shobu and 109 Cinemas Saga.
This expansion also ties into a collaboration with the Japanese theatrical release of GODZILLA MINUS ONE (ゴジラ-1.0/ゴジラマイナスワン, Gojira Mainasu Wan). TAG LIVE LABEL is offering four different designs with images of Godzilla-1.0. The exclusive labels can be purchased now at 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku and will be available from the other two locations on the TAG LIVE LABEL launch dates.
