CCPJAPAN has announced Godzilla (1954) and Hedorah figures with New Year's-themed color designs for their retro-design "CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla"  (CCP ミドルサイズシリーズ ゴジラ, CCP Midoru Saizu Shirīzu Gojira.) The figures are now available exclusively from Toho's Official Godzilla Store Japan and Godzilla Store (North America) and will be released in March.

Based on the concept of “an old-school/new-school, yet slightly old-fashioned soft vinyl monster series,” the popular Middle Size figure line measure 12 cm in height and fits in the palm of a hand, making them easy to collect. This is a collector's series by CCPJAPAN for soft vinyl and monster lovers, with a retro-style deformation that gives a nostalgic and somewhat “Showa-era retro” feel to the figures.

Godzilla (1954) is now available in a new color scheme inspired by the traditional New Year's performance of lion dancing! Molded in emerald green to evoke the image of a lion dance, the figure features a vivid red head and white dorsal fin and abdomen.

The lion dance color scheme has been boldly incorporated into the soft vinyl figure. What catches the eye most is the lion dance's eyebrows, which the vinyl craftsman painted one by one with a brush. The detailed eyebrows really make it look more like a lion dance.
