The Doraemon movie series, which has been a great adventure in various places such as Antarctica, Treasure Island, the moon, ancient Earth with dinosaurs, space, and a utopia floating in the sky, celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2025. The 43rd movie, DORAEMON THE MOVIE: NOBITA'S EARTH SYMPHONY (映画ドラえもん のび太の地球交響楽(ちきゅうシンフォニー), Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyū Shinfonī) released in March last year, was the series' first adventure with a "music" theme. It was a huge hit that captured the hearts of audiences, from children to adults.
DORAEMON THE MOVIE: NOBITA'S ART WORLD TALES is set in the magnificent world of medieval Europe depicted in a painting. Doraemon and his friends jump into the "world of the painting" and embark on a great adventure! This is a completely original story in which Doraemon, Nobita and their friends, along with the friends they meet in the painting, face off against powerful enemies in search of a legendary jewel!
The director of this film is Yukiyo Teramoto, who directed episodes of the DORAEMON anime television series and became the first female director of the film series with DORAEMON THE MOVIE: NOBITA'S NEW GREAT ADVENTURES INTO THE UNDERWORLD (映画ドラえもん のび太の新魔界大冒険 〜7人の魔法使い〜, Eiga Doraemon Nobita no Shin Makai Daibōken ~7-nin no Mahō Tsukai~) in 2007. The screenplay is by Satoshi Ito, who has written many many episodes of the TV anime and is working for the first time on the "Doraemon the Movie" series.
The tie-in DORAEMON 4-D ART ADVENTURE: NOBITA'S ART WORLD TALES (ドラえもん 4-D アート・アドベンチャー ~のび太の絵世界物語~, Doraemon 4-D Āto Adobenchā ~Nobita no Esekai Monogatari~) attraction at Universal Studios Japan runs at the theme park from February 14 to August 17, 2025.
