What is GIGABASH?

Created by Passion Republic Games, GIGABASH is an award-winning Kaiju Fighting Game for 1-4 players that features original Kaijus and giant Heroes plus officially licensed characters from Japan's top tokusatsu and daikaiju franchises battling in fully destructible cityscapes.

GIGABASH combines the chaos and creativity of titles like POWER STONE, SUPER SMASH BROS, and WAR OF THE MONSTERS with the jaw-dropping scale of classic kaiju movies. Choose from a roster of unique characters of Titans and Heroes, each with their own skills and playstyle! Trade fistful blows with up to 4-players, summon lightning from the heavens, throw office buildings at your friends, or roll a whole district (and your enemies) into a single massive snowball. Wreak enough havoc, and you'll evolve into your final form, the terrifyingly titanic S-Class.

Choose from a wide variety of maps and locales as your battleground; each of them has its own unique map mechanic. Fight your foes in densely populated cityscapes, a holiday beach resort next to an active volcano, an industrial city in the middle of Siberia, and more! Got destroyed by another player in the game? Don’t put down your controller just yet! Each locale has its own unique post-death mechanic. Stay in the game and fire an orbital cannon or drop a meteor to exact revenge on the enemy responsible for your early defeat.

Hop into Onslaught Mode to challenge against endless waves of enemies and collect perks to help your journey. Some enemies have mutations too, and even Godzilla characters will invade your playthrough. The further you go, the more epic character skins you’ll be rewarded with, which you can show off to friends. In Arcade Mode, face off against 8 random opponents and one Final Boss to get a higher score. Dive into Story Mode and uncover the origins (and misadventures) of the Titans in four unique single-player campaigns.

In Battle Mode, 1-4 players can destroy each other in a variety of fully destructible maps, available Online (with cross-platform matchmaking) or Local Play. Wreak havoc to collect Giga Energy and transform into an S-Class Titan to wreak even more havoc. Mayhem Mode is a casual party game mode filled with wacky minigames for new and veteran players to enjoy together. With multiple game modes for every occasion, GIGABASH offers endless opportunities for players to join the fray and rise as king among monsters.

Launched as a 10-player character game, GIGABASH has now expanded up to 22-playable characters (soon to be more) with the addition of 4 DLC's that are available for purchase now.

The Titans

Play as a rampaging Titan and send skyscrapers flying with a single punch; or pilot a Titan-hunting Mech and strike your foes with lightning from the heavens. Wreak havoc or chain thrilling combos to gain Giga Energy to transform into your final form, the terrifying titanic S-Class.

Gorogong

The embodiment of primal rage and beastly strength, Gorogong is a fire trollish-type beast with huge fists. Despite its lumbering appearance, it can quickly rush down its foes in a fistful of destruction.

Gorogong strikes with a powerful punch that sends foes and buildings flying. This attack can be charged longer for greater damage.

Pipijuras

Pipijuras is an alien with inter-dimensional powers. Equipped with hidden cannons specialized for medium to long-range assault, this trickster can easily overwhelm its enemies in a hail of Giga Energy-infused projectiles.

This Titan can charge up a long-range projectile that travels further and deals more damage, useful for sniping enemies from a safe distance.

Thundatross

A Super Fortress of metal and thunder approaches!

Wielding an unruly greatsword, purpose-built to deal with even the toughest of Titan armor, Thundatross is a mech created to defend Tokyo.

Thundatross condenses the ambient Giga Energy in the air to call down a lightning strike from the sky. Charge longer to increase distance.

Woolley

Wooley is a member of a species of playful Yetis evolved from an environment free from the motivation to harm, their only remarkable quality being their creativity in using their elastic belly.

He rolls forward into a massive snowball that gobbles up enemies caught in its path. However, he is still vulnerable to counterattacks.

Skorak

Skorak is a Titan mollusk that wanders the island of Tarabak. Its strength lies in its strategic mind and fluency in its wide range of virulent arsenals. These allowed it to endlessly sustain a ravenous appetite for weaker Titans.

Skorak sends the Skull forward to chase down the nearest enemy.

Gigaman

A main protagonist for the game, Gigaman is a veteran monster fighter who returns to deliver swift justice to invading Titans. Although he’s a bit out-of-shape from retirement life, he continues to be feared for his blinding speed and relentless combos.

This hero dashes forward and unloads a storm of spirit punches that can be charged for more hits and increased dash range.

Rohanna

Nature’s wrath manifested as the Ancient Monarch of Tarabak. A plant-type Titan, she strikes with graceful vengeance and commands an army of loyal subjects ready to sacrifice for her verdant empire.

Rohanna has the ability to teleport to another location, dealing damage around her as she disappears and reappears.

Rawa

Rawa is a dragon-type Titan that is the biggest kaiju the wanders the island of Tarabak. His imperious presence is heavy and slow, yet his every movement echoes with calamity and devastation. He is the one we fear… the Extinction Dragon.

Rawa ferociously rushes forward with his horn and causes an explosion on impact.

Zyva

Zyva are Giga Energy based kaiju that protect the Giga Core from unwanted guests. Sentient and ever-watchful, these faceless Titans can manipulate Giga Energy in their surroundings to take down anyone that wanders into the depths of Hollow Earth.

Zyva absorbs incoming projectiles and converts them into Giga Energy. This attack does not work on buildings.

Kongkrete

Mysterious buildings have been appearing all over the world. Are they alive? And if so, what are they after?

Kongrete is a building-type Titan that is, well, a building. But it moves and terrorizes people! It can rolls forward to crush everything in its path. This atatck can be charged for greater distance.

DLC 1: GODZILLA - 4 KAIJU PACK

In December 2022, GIGABASH offered a new DLC that added 4 playable characters from the Godzilla universe: Godzilla, Gigan, Mechagodzilla, and Destoroyah! Players could now reenact the final battle of GODZILLA VS. DESTOROYAH or play as their favorite GIGABASH character and test their mettle against the OGs of the Tokusatsu genre. Each new character had its own unique abilities and movesets, featuring iconic attacks as seen in the films, along with various easter eggs to invoke long-lost nostalgia.

Godzilla

As Godzilla, you can unleash its iconic heat ray, incinerating all who stand in your path. This version is based on the King of the Monsters' design in the Heisei Series films of the 1990s.

Gigan

Gigan is a cyborg kaiju sent by the aliens of M Space Hunter Nebula who aim to conquer Earth. This is the classic version of the monster as seen in the movie GODZILLA VS GIGAN (1972).

Mechagodzilla

Also known as Kiryu (meaning "machine dragon"), Mechagodzilla is an anti-Godzilla weapon whose body is packed with weapons. This version was seen in Toho's GODZILLA AGAINST MECHAGODZILLA (2002).

As Mechagodzilla, your attacks utilize its unique Weapon Control System, where different attacks consume different types of energy. Players must diligently manage resources and swiftly annihilate its foes with overwhelming firepower.

Destoroyah

Seen in GODZILLA VS. DESTOROYAH (1995), this monster began as microcellular organisms that gradually evolved, growing larger and more destructive in each stage until they reformed into a single terrible creature.

DLC 2: ULTRAMAN - 4 CHARACTERS PACK

In November, 2023, Passion Republic Games aunched the GIGABASH | ULTRAMAN DLC adding 4 new playable characters from the Ultraman universe: Ultraman, Ultraman Tiga, Alien Baltan, and Camearra! Each of character features unique movesets and iconic abilities as seen on screen!

Ultraman

From the first-ever ULTRAMAN series that debuted in 1966, he is the alien of justice from Nebula M78, who merged with SSSP member Shin Hayata to defend the Earth.

As Ultraman, you can unleash his iconic Spacium Beam against enemies who threaten humanity.

Alien Baltan

The Baltans are an alien species of advanced intelligence that debuted in the 1966 ULTRAMAN series and became recurring foes for the Ultra Heroes.

As Alien Baltan, you can overwhelm your foes with clones and shower them with White Destructive Bullets.

Ultraman Tiga

Introduced in his own 1996 television series, Tiga is Giant of Light from a dimension separate from the classic Ultra Heros.

As Ultraman Tiga, you can Type Change into Multi Type, Power Type, or Sky Type to change your speed, power, and even skillset to adapt to any situation.

Camearra

The leader of the Giants of Darkness and the former lover of Ultraman Tiga, Camearra was introduced in the movie ULTRAMAN TIGA: THE FINAL ODYSSEY (2000).

You can play as Camearra and unleash darkness upon the world with deadly whip attacks and swarms of flying monsters called Shibito-Zoigers.

DLC 3 - GODZILLA NEMESIS: 2 KAIJU PACK

In May, 2024 the GIGABASH | GODZILLA: NEMESIS DLC was released, adding 2 new playable characters from the Godzilla universe: King Ghidorah, and Hedorah, to the GIGABASH roster. Both monsters featured a unique playstyle and iconic abilities, as seen in the Toho films.

"Bringing King Ghidorah and Hedorah into our game was a challenge. King Ghidorah's multiple heads and tails posed a unique challenge, while Hedorah's lesser-known status in the gaming world made it a special addition for die-hard fans,” shared Sern, producer of GigaBash. “Despite the hurdles, the excitement from our community motivated us to bring these iconic kaijus to life. We hope fans will be pleasantly surprised by this release.”

Godzilla: Nemesis – 2 Kaiju Pack DLC retails for $5.99 USD.

King Ghidorah

As seen in GODZILLA VS. KING GHIDORAH (1991), King Ghidorah is Godzilla’s most formidable rival. Each of its colossal, horned heads can blast destructive lightning bolt-like Gravity Beams capable of tearing through entire skyscrapers.

Its supersonic wings not only allow it to fly and rain destructive Gravity Beams from above but are also powerful enough to produce powerful shockwaves that uproot buildings and send them flying.

Hedorah

Hedorah is the smog monster that stands taller than Godzilla and can match the King of the Monsters blow for blow. As seen in GODZILLA VS. HEDORAH (1971), it can spit Acidic Sludge, throw mud balls at its enemy, and even shoot a Hedrium Ray from one of its eyes. It can also revert to its Flying Stage to escape attacks with surprising agility.

Few foes have ever proved as challenging for Godzilla and humankind as Hedorah.

DLC 4 - MIGHTY DLC: R.O.J.A.K. & BALZARR PACK

Will you invade Earth as “Balzarr”, the Demon Star? Or will you serve as mankind’s last line of defense with the super mech, “R.O.J.A.K.”?

This DLC adds “Balzarr” and “R.O.J.A.K.,” 2 original GIGABASH characters, to the game, both featuring unique abilities and playstyles.
