Chubu Electric Power Company's MIRAI TOWER (formerly Nagoya TV Tower) celebrated its 70th anniversary on June 20 this year. To commemorate the occasion, Nagoya TV Tower Co., Ltd. (Address: 6-15 Nishiki 3-chome, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Representative: Kazuhiro Osawa), which operates MIRAI TOWER, has partnered with Nagoya Railroad Co. to host a tie-in special event featuring Godzilla, who also celebrates his 70th anniversary in 2024. The "Godzilla Attacks Chubu Electric Power Company's MIRAI TOWER" (中部電力 MIRAI TOWERにゴジラ襲来, Gojira ga Chūbudenryoku MIRAI TOWER o Shūgeki!) event will run through September 23, 2024.

During the event, Godzilla (Minus One version) appears in Hisaya-odori Park Mizubehiroba, which stretches to the south of the tower, and an AR system on the observation deck allows visitors to enjoy the overlap of the 70-year history of Godzilla and the city of Nagoya. In addition, limited edition collaboration goods are also on sale.

Nagoya Railroad is offering the "Godzilla Attack Ticket" (ゴジラ襲来きっぷ, Gojira Shūrai Kippu); a great deal for customers that includes a round-trip Meitetsu train ticket, an exchange voucher for admission to the Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER observation deck, an original ticket-exclusive novelty item, and coupons for designated stores in the Sakumachi shopping district. Godzilla Appears in the Nightscape of Nagoya with NAKED's Projection Mapping

NAKED, INC. (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Ryotaro Muramatsu), a company that produces video works and installations incorporating cutting-edge science and technology, has collaborated on events with Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER since the summer of 2015. This year, they have partnered for a special show featuring Godzilla playing at "Sky Deck MIRAI 360," an indoor observatory 90 meters above ground level, where a 360-degree view of the city of Nagoya can be seen.

The projection mapping show planned and directed by NAKED features a special version of a scene from the movie MOTHRA VS. GODZILLA (モスラ対ゴジラ, Mosura Tai Gojira), released 60 years ago, in which the Chubu Electric Power Company MIRAI TOWER is destroyed by Godzilla. NAKED's projection mapping recreates that scene, now set in the present day.  Visitors will enjoy an immersive visual presentation as if a giant Godzilla is walking right by the window, and a mapping show that looks back on on the history of Godzilla films and celebrates the 70th anniversary with digital fireworks that light up the night skyline of Nagoya. The show play only at night (exact start times vary depending on the season).
