Toho Co., Ltd. has provided SciFi Japan with press materials for the Japanese release of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE (ゴジラxコング 新たなる帝国, Gojira x Kongu Aratanaru Teikoku). Toho will open the film in Japan on Friday, April 26th.

INTRODUCTION
Warner Bros., Legendary Pictures, and Toho have partnered to develop the "Monsterverse," a crossover between the Hollywood version of the Godzilla series, which has been developed from GODZILLA (2014), and the epic world view of KONG: SKULL ISLAND (2017). The second [Godzilla] installment, GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS, was released simultaneously worldwide in 2019 and was a huge hit, with the world going wild for the powerful monster battles. And in 2021, the two most famous monsters in movie history had their dream showdown! The third film in the series, GODZILLA VS. KONG, in which Godzilla and Kong clashed, was released and grossed over 50 billion yen ($337,425,000.00 USD) at the worldwide box office! It was a global blockbuster hit, fitting for the ultimate showdown between Godzilla and Kong!
And on November 3, 2023 (Friday, national holiday), the 30th Godzilla movie produced in Japan, GODZILLA MINUS ONE (ゴジラ-1.0/ゴジラマイナスワン, Gojira Mainasu Wan), was released. To date, box office revenue [in Japan] has exceeded 5 billion yen ($33,746,390.00 USD), and its momentum is not limited to Japan, setting a new record for a Japanese live-action movie in North America, and is still a hot topic around the world.
Also, on November 17th (Friday) of the same year, Godzilla's first drama series, MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS, was released worldwide on Apple TV+, and has also become a major topic of conversation!
The year 2024 marks the 70th anniversary of Godzilla, a huge anniversary year.

The world's long-awaited 4th blockbuster in the Monsterverse project series, GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE, will be released in Japan on April 26th (Friday)!
When the release date and official title were announced at the recent Toho lineup presentation , many people said, "I've been waiting for this!" and "I can't stop being excited!" The film will be directed by returning director Adam Wingard, and stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns and Fala Chen.
The Japanese trailer, which includes a "world premiere scene," has now been released!

The world is full of unknown threats.
The trailer begins with these ominous words, showing a new form of Godzilla emerging from the ice, its dorsal fin dyed a suspicious pink color! And then there is Kong, running around in the vast underworld! There's also the roar of Skar King, a red-haired conqueror who looks similar to Kong!!
Please look forward to this blockbuster, the largest scale Godzilla movie! !
