Two Hedorah Nightmare Version Figures Coming From CCP in June/July

The Japanese figure manufacturer CCPJAPAN has begun accepting pre-orders for two AMC (Artistic Monsters Collection) Hedorah figures at hobby shops, mass retailers, and online stores across Japan.

AMC is a popular series that brings special effects characters to life in a style unique to CCP JAPAN. This time, two types of Hedorah, one of the most popular monsters in the Godzilla series, have been made as retro-design soft vinyl figures with "Nightmare Ver." black and vivid red colors.

A new version of the four-legged stage of Hedorah makes its long-awaited appearance in the AMC series!! Although it has been sold in the past, the four-legged Hedorah has not been available for several years, but now it is back with completely new specifications.

A distinctive feature of this new model is the use of "doll eyes" for the kaiju's eyes. Doll eyes have previously been used for the Landing Stage, Chimney Landing Stage, Growth Stage, and Complete Stage forms of Hedorah, but due to manufacturing difficulties, they were not included with the four-legged version. For this new version, CCPJAPAN has made adjustments that make it possible to release this figure with fitted doll eyes.

The eyes are open to different degrees on the left and right, and the eyeballs protrude widely. It matches the terrifying image of the Hedorah character.

The four-legged form, which is very rare for Hedorah figures, is also appealing. With a pose that looks like it's crawling on the ground and bone-like molds protruding from the surface of its body, this soft vinyl figure is extremely impressive in terms of sculpting.

In addition, the paint job uses the Nightmare color scheme that has been popular with previous AMC series figures. The black body has a vivid color scheme that catches the eye, with candy-painted red on the limbs and spray-painted metallic purple.

This is the first time in a long time that the quadrupedal Hedorah has appeared, and it has also been upgraded. Be sure to enjoy the eerie texture of this figure in your hands!

■AMC Hedorah Underwater Nightmare Ver. (AMC ヘドラ水中棲息期ナイトメア Ver., AMC Hedora Suichū Seisoku-ki Naitomea Ver.)

The underwater Hedorah, which could be said to be Hedorah's original form, is back in the AMC series after more than 10 years!

At the beginning of the movie GODZILLA VS. HEDORAH (ゴジラ対ヘドラ, Gojira Tai Hedora, 1971), Hedorah attacks tankers at sea, and this underwater form is now available in Nightmare colors.

This form of Hedorah has not been reprinted for over 10 years, so some people may not know that this form exists among CCP JAPAN's Hedorah figures. It features a slightly undulating pose as if it is swimming, with sharp and bold arrangements that are typical of CCP JAPAN. The detailed surface of the body and the shape of the tail are characterized by numerous folds that seem to have been pushed to the limits of what can be reproduced with soft vinyl.

Like the quadrupedal version, this one is finished in the popular Nightmare colors. It has an impression that matches the eerie atmosphere of the dark sea where it prowls after ships. This soft vinyl figure perfectly matches the image of its underwater life form, with its large eyes painted with a gradation color that make them appear to be glowing.
