Knowing that moviegoers would turn out to see the first new feature film by Miyazaki in a decade, Studio Ghibli decided to limit promotion of THE BOY AND THE HERON to a single Japanese poster. No other press materials, images, trailers, synopses, advertisements, or information about the movie were made available to the public prior to, and in the weeks following, its release in Japan.
The studio has now had a change of heart and made several images available "to use the images within the bounds of common sense." Please enjoy the following THE BOY AND THE HERON image gallery, courtesy of Studio Ghibli!
