Toho Co., Ltd. has provided information and high-res photos from SUNNY - OUR HEARTS BEAT TOGETHER (SUNNY ?????????, Sunny Tsuyoi Kimochi Tsuyoi Ai), a remake the 2011 Korean film SUNNY (??, Sseoni). Directed by Hitoshi One (LOVE STRIKES, BAKUMAN, SCOOP!), the movie depicts the friendships of high school girls in the late 90s who were known as `kogals,` and features J-POP tunes from the era. STORY In the 1990s, six Japanese high school girls -- Nami (Suzu Hirose), Serika (Maika Yamamoto), Kokoro (Momoko Tanabe), Yuko (Mio Noda), Ume (Miu Tomita) and Nana (Elaiza Ikeda) -- who were caught up in the kogal boom formed their own tight-knit group called "Sunny". 22 years later, Nami (Ryoko Shinohara) is a 40-year-old homemaker with the typical adult problems. One day, she has a chance encounter with former best friend Serika (Yuka Itaya), whom she has not seen in many years. Serika tells her that she has terminal cancer wants to reunite with the members of Sunny one last time. Nami sets about tracking down their old friends.
