The Ancient Monster Kingsaurus III, which appeared in RETURN OF ULTRAMAN Episode 4: SUPER ATTACK! METEOR KICK (必殺!流星キック, Hissatsu! Ryuusei Kikku), is now back in the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series. The paint scheme has been completely upgraded from the version of this figure that was released more than 10 years ago, with a more realistic coloring that includes sand stains and dirt on the kaiju's skin as seen onscreen.

This powerful monster appeared in the mountains of Hakone, defeating Ultraman Jack once. It blocked all of Ultraman Jack's attacks with a barrier, and overwhelmed him using the horns on its head as a weapon.

Although it is a sauropod-type monster, it has a mouth with large fangs and a dorsal fin reminiscent of a Spinosaurus. The suit was designed so the actor did not kneel,  which was very rare at the time four-legged monsters. , and the shape of the actor inside, such as the raised and bent hind legs, is three-dimensionalized in a way that allows you to feel the posture of the actor inside.

The proportions of Kingsaurus III are accurately captured in the sculpt of this soft vinyl figure, with a high level of texture of the body that replicates the wrinkled surface of the suit in the episode.

From episode 20 of ULTRASEVEN Episode 20: DEFEAT SEISMIC SOURCE X (地震源Xを倒せ, Jishingen Ekkusu o Taose), the Core Monster Gira Dorus is being reissued for the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series!

Under the control of the Alien Shaplay,  this kaiju was mining "Ultnium," a substance believed to be the core of the Earth, causing earthquakes in mountainous areas. When the Shaplay was defeated by the Ultra Guard, the monster attacked. it engaged in combat with Ultraseven, and made full use of its weather-changing abilities, summoning dark clouds and creating a low-temperature environment with blizzards, and tormenting Seven with physical attacks such as body slams and headbutts.

The 1/6 Special Tokusatsu Series Gira Dorus fully captures the charm of the monster's unique design. The sculpt features a carefully carved, characteristic geometric surface mold, plus details such as large wrinkles that give it a sense of dynamism.

The paintwork has also been completely revamped compared to previous editions of this figure.
With the addition of dirty paint, the details of the sculpt become more clearly visible, and the underside of the body is painted to resemble the sand and dirt that got on Ultraseven during the battle.

Another distinctive feature is the red crystal parts on the monster's head and dorsal fin, which are made from clear parts. By applying clear paint over the clear molding, the finish has a more beautiful transparent texture than previous versions.

1/6 Tokusatsu Series Ruffed Dinosaur Jirahs High Grade Ver. (1/6特撮シリーズ エリ巻恐竜 ジラース ハイグレード Ver., 1/6 Tokusatsu Shirīzu Eri Maki Kyōryū Jirāsu Hai Gurēdo Ver.)

Jirahs, the "Ruffed Dinosaur" that appears in ULTRAMAN Episode 10: THE MYSTERIOUS DINOSAUR BASE (謎の恐竜基地, Nazo no Kyōryū Kichi) will be re-released in a high grade version with a higher level of detail and updated coloring!

Jirahs was a monster discovered in Loch Ness in the UK and raised by Professor Nikaido in Lake Kitayama in Japan for over 15 years. Its biggest feature is the huge frill that covers its neck, which has many functions, such as intimidating enemies and being used as gills and sonar underwater.  Jirahs challenged Ultraman in a strength contest, but his frill was torn off and he was finally defeated with an Ultra Grazing Slash.

First produced in 2018, this 1/6 scale figure perfectly captures the characteristics of Jirahs, with a dynamic pose that seems to glare at Ultraman and the detailed surface modeling that replicates the texture of the urethane of the suit. The lower jaw is also movable even though it is a soft vinyl figure.

The new high grade edition has a completely new color scheme based on footage and materials from ULTRAMAN.  The vivid frill and head paint have been significantly upgraded with an emphasis to match the look in the episode. The blue and yellow paint around the face is brighter than the previous edition. The front of the body has also been painted with a wider range of yellow, and the sandy dirt on the feet is also recreated through color.

1/6 Tokusatsu Series Vol.107: Malicious Alien Alien Mefilas (1/6特撮シリーズ Vol.107 悪質宇宙人 メフィラス星人, 1/6 Tokusatsu Shirīzu Vol. 107 Akushitsu Uchūbito Mefirasu Seijin)

Mefilas, one of the most popular and powerful aliens in the Ultra series, introduced in ULTRAMAN Episode 33: THE FORBIDDEN WORDS (禁じられた言葉, Kinjirareta Kotoba),  joins the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series with a completely new sculpt.

Alien Mefilas possesses unique abilities such as making Officer Fuji grow giant and go on a rampage, and making the Baltan, Zarab, and Kemur appear. He also has the fighting power to challenge Ultraman head-on on an equal footing, and even the way he disappears from Ultraman's sight without a final showdown makes him a unique presence among the enemies of that time.

This figure has been made with a design that takes into consideration the fighting pose of Mefilas when giantized, and reproduces his suit as much as possible. The position of the legs was also thoroughly examined from the episode, and they are now spread out sideways rather than front to back. The texture of the large buttocks and the characteristic wrinkles on the back of the Mefilas suit are also faithfully recreated.

The coloring of the figure also carefully done. First of all, the head, which is the most eye-catching part, is painted silver from the inside on the clear parts to express the luminous appearance in the show.

The blue eyes and luminous features are bright and transparent. When light enters, the silver in the back reflects, creating an even more beautiful impression.

As for the body, in addition to the basic paintwork, the surface of the body is also sprayed with gray highlights, giving it a very close resemblance to the Alien Mefilas seen in the episode. Also, the suit was not completely matte with shiny parts here and there, so the fine glossiness is also replicated. This high-grade specification also reproduces the sand stains on the knees and feet from the battle with Ultraman.

This product can be displayed alongside the separately sold 1/6 Tokusatsu Series Ultraman C-Type Spacium Ray figure to recreate the showdown in the film.

Photo courtesy of CCP JAPAN. ©TSUBURAYA PRODUCTIONS

The 1/6 Tokusatsu Series soft vinyl figure of the One-Horned Terrible-Monster Vakishim from ULTRAMAN ACE is based on the scene in Episode 3:  GO UP IN FLAMES! TERRIBLE-MONSTER HELL (燃えろ!超獣地獄, Moero! Chōjū Jigoku) where he fires a flamethrower at Ultraman Ace. Using footage and materials from the episode as reference, CCP has recreated the monster in exacting detail.

Created by Alien Yapool, Vakishim is a combination of a caterpillar and a space monster with  vivid body colors of blue and orange.  The suit's wrinkles and scratches are also expressed, which show that the suit was damaged during the filming process.

Along with the eyes, the crystals on the back are made of clear material to give them a transparent look, and the elegant crystalline shape reminiscent of minerals is also realized in the sculpt for the figure.

The biggest feature of this product is its size. Vakishim is meant to be paired with Ultraman Ace from the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series, requiring the figure to be about 38 cm in height x about 46 cm in length x about 21 cm in width.  It is one of the largest figures in the 1/6 Series.

It is designed to stand on its own feet, but it also comes with a display stand to support the figurel.

In terms of coloring, the Vakishim suit worn in the episode was thoroughly recreated, even down to the dirt that had accumulated during his fight with Ultraman Ace. The orange and blue base colors feature highlights and shadows, and the sandy dirt and grime paint have been added to create a very realistic texture that evokes a fierce battle.

The first "Terrible-Monster" in the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series was also a challenge for the CCP JAPAN team.

The tragic monster Jamilar who appeared in ULTRAMAN Episode 23: MY HOME IS EARTH (故郷は地球, Kokyō wa Chikyū), finally joining the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series!

The prototype for this product was made by Takeyuki Oka of the modeling studio Kitora Zoukei, who has been creating monster garage kit masterpieces for many years. Jamillar is generally depicted in figure form with both arms hanging down, but this figure has an unprecedented dynamic pose that focuses on monster's battle with Ultraman

Jamillar's skin has lost fat and turned into a clay-like substance as a result of adapting to the harsh environment of outer space. The cracked mold of his suit, the texture of his body surface, the shape of his dorsal fin, and even his back have been thoroughly reproduced from his onscreen appearance.

The asymmetrical arrangement of hise teeth has also been reproduced, as well as the recessed structure of the eyes and the distorted wrinkles on the left and right sides of the nose.

A slight whisker-like shape can be seen around the chin, which is what allowed us to identify him as Jamilar the human astronaut. The dirty paint brings out the cracked shape of the body surface, and even the pattern on the suit and the dirt from battle are reproduced.

The blue and purple gradations seen in Jamila's suit are also expressed in detail by referencing photos from the episode. In addition, the application of dirt paint brings out the rugged texture of the body surface, enhancing the realistic texture. The bases of the claws and fangs are painted with shadows to make the texture even more realistic, and the eyes are colored to give the impression of glowing electric lights.

Jamillar has never been more realistically reproduced as a figure.

Space Dinosaur Zetton II from RETURN OF ULTRAMAN Episode 51: THE FIVE OATHS OF ULTRA ( ウルトラ5つの誓い, Urutora Go tsu no Chikai) returns to the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series more than 10 years since its initial release with a significantly different repaint.

A space monster controlled by the Antenna Alien, Alien Bat, it is said to have more firepower than the first Zetton who defeated the original Ultraman. While the original Zetton overwhelmed Ultraman with a variety of attacks, Zetton II uses a lot of hand-to-hand combat against Ultraman Jack.

This figure has a very attractive sculpture that retains the charm of Zetton II's stocky body. Scenes fron RETURN OF ULTRAMAN where it looks a little more slender were also used as reference. The asymmetrical face, peephole, wrinkles in the suit, and even minute scratches and creases are replicated.

The horns, which were made of a soft material in the show, are also reproduced by resin casting. The glowing shapes on his chest are faithfully incorporated into the sculpture, with their protrusion and detailed feel.

The paintwork has been significantly revamped to deliver a higher quality product than the previous version of this figure. The chest and head are made of clear parts, and by applying highlight paint to create a luminous look it reproduces the monster's look in the episode.

In addition, the body colors of the second Zetton, which is a slightly grayish color due to sand, and dirt, have been added.

    1/6 Tokusatsu Series Two-Dimensional Monster Gabadon (A) (1/6特撮シリーズ 二次元怪獣 ガヴァドン(A), 1/6 Tokusatsu Shirīzu Nijigen Kaijū Gavuadon (A))

Photo courtesy of CCP JAPAN. ©TSUBURAYA PRODUCTIONS

The Two-Dimensional Monster Gabadon (A) from ULTRAMAN Episode 15: THE TERRIFYING COSMIC RAYS  (恐怖の宇宙線, Kyōfu no Uchūsen) joins the 1/6 Tokusatsu Series as a completely new model!

A drawing brought to life by cosmic rays, Gabadon (A) is one of the Tsuburaya monsters most beloved by children. As its white appearance suggests, Gabadon is not a belligerent monster, and it spends most of its time dozing off. Even after being hit by missiles from the Science Patrol and having its tail cut off, it continues to nap without worrying, and eventually disappears at night.

That night, children add to the drawing of Gabadon, and the next time it appears, it is Gavadon (B) with a completely different design.

Even when it eventually fights Ultraman, the children ask Ultraman not to kill Gabadon. So Ultraman returns to space with Gabadon in his hands, and the kaiju becomes a star that can be seen during the Tanabata season.

Gabadon (A) has a round and soft appearance. The simple shape of the monster is based on a drawing by a child, but since it is a huge creature, it is inevitable that the surface of the body will have fine wrinkles and scratches. Taking this interpretation into consideration, the model has been given a more monster-like texture.

The back has been modeled with the fine wrinkles that can be seen in the suit in the episode, and the mold of the peephole that can be seen in the eye is also reproduced. The cute front legs are also carefully crafted. In addition, even the soles of the feet have been thoroughly recreated based on limited materials, and even the stitching-like marks under the body have been recreated.

Using stills and footage from ULTRAMAN as reference, the coloring of Gabadon as seen in the episode has been recreated.  A pale yellowish color has been applied with a light gradation paint over the white body. In addition, the impression of sand is expressed with a dirty paintwork, which enhances the realism of crawling on the ground.

Another feature of Gabadon (A) is that the coloring gives a different impression on the left and right sides of the body. This difference in color between the left and right sides is also achieved through a pale, careful gradation paintwork.

This soft vinyl Gabadon (A) is a monster unlike any other seen before, with great attention to detail in everything from its shape to its coloring.

    About CCPJAPAN

CCPJAPAN's Unique Realism with Soft Vinyl

Soft vinyl is a half-century old technique in Japan. It is a hollow molded product obtained by polymerizing vinyl chloride monomer by pouring it into a mold and heating it, and the doll made through this process is called soft vinyl.

Hollow, lightweight, and unbreakable are the greatest characteristics of soft vinyl. The production speed is fast, and the cost of molds is inexpensive, making it a molding method that can produce a relatively small number of products for a small number of needs.

CCP has continued to produce works of manga, anime, and special effects, representative of Japanese POP culture, under the theme of “preserving them for posterity as three-dimensional materials. CCPJAPAN has continued to produce works based on the theme of “preserving Japanese pop culture, manga, anime, and special effects works as three-dimensional materials for posterity. Compared to fragile ceramics, CCPJAPAN produces mainly soft vinyl works that will last for hundreds or even thousands of years.

About 20 years ago, CCPJAPAN established a method of expressing realistic details and molding techniques for soft vinyl, and through its advanced coloring techniques, CCPJAPAN's works aim for greater realism. We hope you will experience the realism and unique sensibility of CCPJAPAN through our works.
