Kadokawa Pictures has provided information and photos for their new movie, THE ANTIQUE. The film is based on the best-selling novel series by author En Mikami*, about the owner of a used book store who solves various mysteries involving books. THE ANTIQUE was directed by Yukiko Mishima (NIGHT’S TIGHTROPE, DEAR ETRANGER) and stars Haru Kuroki (SOLOMON`S PERJURY, THE BRIDE OF RIP VAN WINKLE), Shuhei Nomura (PUZZLE, CHIHAYAFURU), Ryo Narita (YOUR NAME, It’s Boring Here, Pick Me Up) and Kaho (GAMERA THE BRAVE, THE KODAI FAMILY).

She is beautiful but introverted, an expert on vintage books, and a great storyteller. Shioriko also has amazing powers of logical deduction, and can solve great mysteries from the smallest of clues. One day, the job-hunting Daisuke Gora (Shuhei Nomura) comes to Biblia with a book signed by the famed novelist Natsume Soseki; an inheritance from his deceased grandmother. He asks Shioriko to authenticate the book. However, it hides an unexpected secret from his grandmother.
