Special Thanks to Shingo Fujimoto and John Stanowski The Japanese collectibles company X-Plus Co., Ltd. has provided SciFi Japan with information and high-res photos of the upcoming figure of King Kong from the 2017 movie, KONG: SKULL ISLAND. The soft vinyl statue is manufactured by X-Plus` Hong Kong-based subsidiary, Star Ace Toys, Ltd., and features the mighty king of Skull Island in a defiant pose. The meticulous paint job, sculpted fur and authentic likeness recreate the huge ape in extreme detail. Kong is scheduled to ship this July. There will also be a Deluxe Limited Edition Version which has Kong displayed in a diorama base featuring the Skull Island landscape. The figure has a curled left hand to hold a crushed helicopter. Shipping in August, the deluxe figure is limited to 800 pieces. Both the standard and deluxe versions of the figure will be sold by stores and online retailers including SFJ`s sponsors Anime Jungle and Flossie`s Gifts & Collectibles. Recommended for fans and collectors ages 15 years and older.
