Kadokawa Corporation has announced Gamera-themed collaborations with popular creators in Japan in celebration of the worldwide release on Netflix for their new anime series GAMERA -Rebirth- (ガメラ リバース, Gamera Ribāsu).
The first project is "Mini-Gamera" (ミニガメラ) by Penguin Box, creator of the hit baby shark manga Odekake Kozame (おでかけ子ザメ) published by Kadokawa. The artist has reimagined Gamera and the enemy monsters from in cute SD ( Super Deformed) forms which will be used for upcoming merchandising. Fans can now download free "Mini Gamera" wallpaper for smartphones and PCs at https://gamera-rebirth.com/special/digicon.html

Cute but cool!
We created these designs through trial and error, trying to find a way to incorporate the bone-like tails and sharp, layered scales of the Gamera characters from GAMERA -Rebirth- into POP figures in a Gamera-like way!
I think there will be various developments for both the kaiju in the series and the SD kaiju, so I hope you will look forward to them! (I'm really looking forward to it too!) it!).
