While the first film had only a limited 2-week / 3-screen theatrical release in Japan, Box Office sales surpassed 40 million yen, and the home video release has shipped more than 1.6 million copies worldwide, making RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION a global hit.?In response, RESIDENT EVIL: DAMNATION will receive a wider roadshow theatrical release in Japan starting October 27th.
