The Creatures Return! No one knows when and where these creatures were born. In murky silence, a cell divided and created 3 lives. They are neither human nor beast, but their hideous appearances belied a sense of justice as strong as the most noble man. "Someday we`ll become humans!" They long to be human, a longing never to be fulfilled. HUMANOID MONSTER BEM (??????, Yokai Ningen Bemu) was originally a 26 episode animated series broadcast on Fuji TV from October 7, 1968 - March 31, 1969. Written by Akira Adachi (PRINCE PLANET) and produced by Daichi Doga, the anime followed the adventures of three subhuman creatures -- Bem, Bela and Belo -- who protect people from evil creatures in the hope of one day becoming normal humans, themselves. Adults nationwide were shocked and kids were delighted by the unprecedented concept of the hideous heroes never being accepted by mankind. In 2006 Bem and his allies returned in a second anime series. The characters transitioned to live action on October 22, 2011 in the 10 episode HUMANOID MONSTER BEM television drama. 43 years after the original cartoon first aired this new incarnation was eagerly received by fans. The success of the TV series convinced the show`s cast and crew to continue Bem`s story on the big screen with the HUMANOID MONSTER BEM (?????????, Eiga Yokai Ningen Bemu) motion picture. Story In murky silence, a cell divided and created 3 lives. Being less than human, they called themselves Bem (Kazuya Kamenashi), Bela (Anne Watanabe) and Belo (Fuku Suzuki). Their hideous appearances belied their noble and strong sense of justice. Another subhuman creature, The Man with No Name (Akira Emoto), was created at the same time as the others. After defeating this evil creature, Bem, Bela and Belo accepted their role as the protectors of mankind... but the price they paid for the decision was to give up their wishes to become humans. The three left their human friends behind and disappeared. Roaming the world, they arrive at a town where residents are being terrorized by a series of mysterious bizarre crimes. As Bem, Bela and Belo investigate the mystery, they are confronted by a nemesis whose true identity leads to a horrible secret. And it seems that there may be another way for Bem, Bela and Belo to finally become humans!? But first they must fight their nemesis... for their very existence is at stake. Credits
