A SCIFI JAPAN EXCLUSIVE

Warner Bros. Pictures Japan has provided information and images from the new anime film, GINTAMA THE FINAL (銀魂 THE FINAL). The movie is based on the incredibly popular action comedy manga series Gintama, created by Hideaki Sorachi and originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The collected editions of the manga have sold more than 55 million volumes.

GINTAMA THE FINAL adapts the concluding story arc of the manga, and is being promoted as the “true end” of the franchise. As the countdown to doomsday begins, Gintoki Sakata, Shinsuke Takasugi and Kotaro Katsura are joined by former allies Shinpachi Simura, Kagura, Shinsengumi, Kabuki Town, and even former rivals in an effort to save the earth from destruction.

GINTAMA THE FINAL will open in Japanese cinemas this coming Friday, January 8.
