Toho has provided information and high-res images from their new anime film, CRAYON SHIN-CHAN 2017, opening in Japan this Saturday, April 15th. The movie is the 25th feature film based on the manga series created by Yoshito Usui, and follows the comedic misadventures of Shinnosuke "Shin-chan" Nohara, a mischievous five-year-old who often say inappropriate things and cannot resist pretty ladies, regardless of their age. Shin-chan`s family includes his baby sister Himawari, their mother Misae who gets hysterical whenever her two kids are misbehaving in public, dad Hiroshi, an average office worker who has smelly feet, and their pet dog Shiro. CRAYON SHIN-CHAN 2017 is directed and written by Masakazu Hashimoto. Hashimoto is a veteran of the franchise, having storyboarded previous entries and directed the films CRAYON SHIN-CHAN: VERY TASTY! B-CLASS GOURMET SURVIVAL!! (?? ????????? ?????????: ?????? ??????????!!, Eiga Kureyon Shinchan Bakauma! STORY One day, an alien named Shiriri visited the Nohara family`s home. Shiriri mistakenly hit Hiroshi and Misae with a mysterious beam, "de-aging" the couple 25 years reverting them to children! In order to return to his parents to adulthood, Shinchan must go with Siriri to find the alien`s father who is hiding somewhere in Japan, plotting the invasion of Earth. Their journey causes chaos across the country...
