Bay Area Film Events returns on June 22 at 6pm to the Bal Theatre in San Leandro, CA for the second GODZILLA NIGHT. It`s an evening celebrating all things Godzilla! Following the amazing success of 2012`s GODZILLA NIGHT, which featured the 50th Anniversary screening of KING KONG VS. GODZILLA, this year`s show promises to pack even more entertainment into an evening of rubber monster fun. In addition to a live band and the requisite Godzilla double feature, BAFE will also have guests, a Godzilla raffle and a celebration of the release of IDW`s new Godzilla comic, Godzilla: Rulers of Earth. Kicking off the evening will be live kaiju-inspired music by Big Pimp Jones! The band will be on hand for a set of music guaranteed to make you get out of your seats and stomp on some cities! They will also have copies of their CDs and the Kodoja comic books for sale. Meet the band, hear the music, read the comics. The monstrous double feature for the night will be the Heisei classics GODZILLA VS. KING GHIDORAH and GODZILLA VS. MOTHRA (aka GODZILLA AND MOTHRA: THE BATTLE FOR EARTH). Released in 1991 and 1992 respectively, the two films feature Godzilla`s most famous antagonists, along with Battra, a fan favorite among Godzilla`s Heisei foes. Both films will be English dubbed and digitally projected, courtesy of Sony Pictures. Appearing in GODZILLA VS. KING GHIDORAH is actor Robert Scott Field as Android M-11. Robert Scott Field will be Skyping in live from Tokyo at GODZILLA NIGHT to talk about the film, his current career in Japan and to answer questions from fans in the audience. This year`s GODZILLA NIGHT will also feature the return of Kyle Yount from the internet podcast Kaijucast. This year Kyle is stepping up to help in the hosting duties and will bring more Godzilla knowledge to this year`s show. The same week as the show, IDW will be launching its newest Godzilla comic book, em>Godzilla: Rulers of Earth. To celebrate this new series, BAFE brings writer Chris Mowry live in theater and Matt Frank, live via Skype from Texas, to the Bal to talk about their plans for Godzilla in print. Copies of the new comic will be available at the show, as well as collectible fliers from IDW.
