Special Thanks to Jun Umeji The Japanese collectibles company X-Plus Co., Ltd. has provided SciFi Japan with information and photos of their latest collaboration with Bandai; a glow-in-the-dark model kit of the new Godzilla design from SHIN GODZILLA (??????, Shin Gojira, 2016). Using the same sculpt as the Shounen Ric exclusive "roar head" figure sold by X-Plus this December/January, the kit depicts Godzilla with the wide, open mouth position for firing his radioactive breath. The figure is molded with purple clear soft vinyl to replicate the radiant energy as Godzilla powers up, and also uses phosphorescent material so the figure will glow in the dark. Unlike the traditional X-Plus Godzilla figures, this item is a kit that must be fully assembled. Model adhesive (not included) is required, and the individual pieces may need to be trimmed with a knife or heated with a hair dryer to fit snugly. Please read the instruction manual carefully before assembly. This item is sold exclusively by the Premium Bandai website and will not be available from retail stores.
