X-Plus Adds Godzilla 1984 Light Up 30cm Figure to September Lineup

Earlier this month, SciFi Japan posted the lineup of giant monster figures coming in late September 2016 from the Japanese collectibles company X-Plus Co., Ltd. The article mentioned that "X-Plus is considering releasing one more figure in September", and now that late addition has been officially announced.

Inspired by the popularity of the new film, SHIN GODZILLA (??????, Shin Gojira) -- the first new Japanese Godzilla film in 12 years -- X-Plus looked back to another famous Godzilla movie that restarted the franchise after an extended hiatus... THE RETURN OF GODZILLA (???, Gojira, 1984), a.k.a. GODZILLA 1985. RETURN was the 16th film in the series, released 9 years after TERROR OF MECHAGODZILLA (????????, Mekagojira no Gyakushuu, 1975). In April 2013, X-Plus released their Toho 30cm Series: Godzilla 1984.* The company is now taking orders on an updated "Shinjuku Decisive Battle" version with a darker paint scheme to reflect the monster`s nighttime raid on Tokyo in THE RETURN OF GODZILLA. The figure also comes with a new light-up feature for Godzilla’s dorsal fins which requires four AAA batteries (sold separately). This item is sold exclusively online by X-Plus` official Shounen Ric website and will not be available from retail stores.
