Disney has released most of Ghibli`s films in the US, but TALES FROM EARTHSEA was delayed for several years since author Ursula Le Guin`s Earthsea novels had previously been optioned for film and television by Hallmark Entertainment. The film was directed by Goro Miyazaki, son of Studio Ghibli co-founder and legend Hayao Miyazaki. While the works of the elder Miyazaki are revered worldwide, reviews for Goro`s directorial debut have been much less enthusiastic.
