BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. has announced the "Shin Japan Heroes Universe Pack" (シン・ジャパン・ヒーローズ・ユニバース パック, Shin Japan Hīrōzu Yunibāsu Pakku) is now available for purchase for their game TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL (太鼓の達人 ドンダフルフェスティバル, Taiko no Tatsujin Dondafuru Fesutibaru).

TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL is the latest entry in the "Taiko no Tatsujin" (Taiko Drum Master) series for Nintendo Switch. The player joins the main character, DON-chan, and their guide, Kumo-kyun, on a journey to become a Taiko master in Omiko City. The game includes 76 songs, more than previous editions, including "Gurenge" (紅蓮華, Guren Hana), "Feel Special," and "Racng into the Night," (夜に駆ける, Yoru ni Kakeru).
New modes allow mutiple players to work together, such as "DON-chan Band" (どんちゃんバンド, Donchan Bando) in which four players collaborate for a successful live performance. There is also a "Progress Support" (上達サポート, Jōtatsu Sapōto) feature that allows players to improve their skills by repeatedly practicing the parts they have difficulty with, "Online Rank Match" (オンラインランクマッチ, Onrain Ranku Macchi) to engage in performance battles with players from around the world, and "Great Drum Toy War" (ドンカツおもちゃ大戦, Donkatsu Omocha Taisen) in which players battle to decide who is the ultimate drumming master.
There is also the "Taiko Music Pass" (太鼓ミュージックパス, Taiko Myūjikku Pasu), a paid music subscription service with over 500 songs available for unlimited play.

The Shin Japan Heroes project was launched in 2021 as a collaboration between Toho, Khara, Tsuburaya Productions, and Toei and presents characters from the movies SHIN GODZILLA (シン・ゴジラ, Shin Gojira, 2016), EVANGELION: 3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME (シン・エヴァンゲリオン劇場版𝄇, Shin Evangerion Gekijōban, 2021), SHIN ULTRAMAN (シン・ウルトラマン, Shin Urutoraman, 2022) and SHIN KAMEN RIDER (シン・仮面ライダー, Shin Kamen Raidā, 2023) in various marketing and merchandising campaigns.
Players can now purchase TAIKO NO TATSUJIN: RHYTHM FESTIVAL's "Shin Japan Heroes Universe Pack" with exclusive backgrounds featuring characters from the Shin Japan Heroes Universe. Petite versions of Shin Godzilla, Evangelion Unit 01, Shin Ultraman and Shin Kamen Rider are DON-chan's dress-up items for each mode of the game. The Pack also includes the "Shin Japan Heroes Universe x BANDAI NAMCO" Promotion Song "Crime and Punishment, Those Who Don't Pray" (『シン・ジャパン・ヒーローズ・ユニバース × バンダイナムコ』 プロモーションソング 「罪と罰 祈らざる者よ」, Shin Japan Hīrōzu Yunibāsu Kakeru Bandai Namuko Puromōshon Songu Tsumi to Bai Inorazaru Mono yo) by EVANGELION theme song singer, Yoko Takahashi.
