The TOHO theater STORE, an e-commerce site that sells theater merchandise, is now selling two limited edition color Middle Size Gamera figures by manufacturer CCP JAPAN Co., This is the first limited edition collaboration product between the Middle Size Gamera Series and TOHO theater STORE.
Based on the concept of “an old-school/new-school, yet slightly old-fashioned soft vinyl monster series,” the popular Middle Size figure line measure an average 12 cm in height and fits in the palm of a hand, making them easy to collect. This is a collector's series by CCPJAPAN for soft vinyl and monster lovers, with a retro-style deformation that gives a nostalgic and somewhat “Showa-era retro” feel to the figures.

The Gamera design from GAMERA 2: ATTACK OF LEGION (ガメラ2 レギオン襲来 Gamera 2 Region Shūrai, 1996) is now available in a beautiful finish, made with highly transparent clear molding by soft vinyl craftsmen and painted in clear blue, reminiscent of the official color of the TOHO theater STORE. The torso has been intentionally left clear, while the limbs and head are painted darker, making for a spectacular and refreshing coloring that looks great from any angle.

The clear blue paint job on the torso and the balance of the limbs that still have transparent molding give the coloring a vague atmosphere. The silver paint job applied from above further enhances the glittering texture.

Soft vinyl is a half-century old technique in Japan. It is a hollow molded product obtained by polymerizing vinyl chloride monomer by pouring it into a mold and heating it, and the doll made through this process is called soft vinyl.
