Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Masayuki Nagatake) is pleased to announce that the third season of ULTRAMAN NEW GENERATION STARS (ウルトラマン ニュージェネレーション スターズ,  Urutoraman Nyū Jenerēshon Sutāzu), will debut on Saturday, January 25, 2025. The series will be broadcast on TV Tokyo affiliates every Saturday starting at 9:00 am JST and will also be streamed on the Official ULTRAMAN YouTube Channel (in Japanese audio with multilingual subtitles).

ULTRAMAN NEW GENERATION STARS is a program that introduces carefully selected episodes from the "New Generation Ultraman" line which began with Ultraman Zero, who celebrated his 15th anniversary this year, and continues with the curently running TV series ULTRAMAN ARC (ウルトラマンアーク, Urutoraman  Āku, 2024). In the 2025 season, Ultraman Z, who regards Ultraman Zero as his master, will be the main character, exploring the Ultra Heroes' journey every week under the theme of "connecting our thoughts to the future."

The theme song “Awakening of ZERO” will be written, composed, and arranged by Takamiy (Toshihiko Takamizawa), who has several musical credits in the Ultraman Series. It will be sung by Ultraman Zero (character voice: Miyano Mamoru) with voyager.

A preview video for the series has been released on the Official ULTRAMAN YouTube Channel.

Ultraman Z, who has survived many fierce battles, receives a message from his master, Ultraman Zero, and lands alone on a strange planet.

On this planet that appears deserted, a "record of the Ultra Heroes' battles" suddenly arrives. Z is confused for a moment, but when he reaches out to the dazzling light that pours down in front of him, he transforms into a new form wearing the "New Generation Ultraman Cape"!

Set on an unknown planet, the story of Ultraman Z's further growth begins as he follows the "feelings" that connect the "New Generation Ultramen" and opens up the “future”!

● About Ultraman Z

Ultraman Z (Zett) starred in the TV series ULTRAMAN Z (ウルトラマンＺ, Urutoraman Zetto), broadcast in 2020. The series has gained popularity for its unique characters and storyline in which the protagonist Haruki Natsukawa (played by Kohshu Hirano), a member of the anti-monster robot unit STORAGE, and Ultraman Z, the apprentice of Ultraman Zero, team up and grow together. The show won the 52nd Seiun Award in the Media category.

 

● Key Items: "New Generation Ultraman Cape" and "New Generation Ultraman Brooch"

The "New Generation Ultraman Cape" (ニュージェネレーションウルトラマンケープ,  Nyū Jenerēshon Urutoraman Kēpu) - aka the "New Generation Ultra Hero Cape" - is Ultraman Z's new symbol of bravery. It is said that to use this blue cape properly, one must understand the true meaning of "strength."

The "New Generation Ultraman Brooch" (ニュージェネレーションウルトラマンブローチ, Nyū Jenerēshon Urutoraman Burōchi) - aka the "New Generation Ultra Hero Brooch" - that shines brilliantly on his chest changes as Z grows!

What kind of drama will Z weave with these two items?

 

● Theme Song

Mamoru Miyano, the voice actor for Ultraman Zero, performs the new theme song “Awakening of ZERO” in character alongside the vocal unit voyager. voyager debuted in 2009, the same year that Ultraman Zero first appeared. In 2010, they became popular when they sang "Let's Go! Ultraman Zero," the opening song for the movie ULTRAMAN ZERO: THE REVENGE OF BELIAL (ウルトラマンゼロ THE MOVIE 超決戦！ベリアル銀河帝国, Urutoraman Zero THE MOVIE: Chōkessen! Beriaru Ginga Teikoku). The artists, who have been through hardships with the "New Generation," have grown into true stars alongside Ultraman, and have created anthems dedicated to the memories of the heroes depicted in ULTRAMAN NEW GENERATION STARS.

The song's lyrics and composition are by Takamiy, who has worked on many famous songs in the Ultraman Series including themes for ULTRAMAN DYNA (ウルトラマンダイナ, Urutoraman Daina, 1997-98) and ULTRAMAN ORB (ウルトラマンオーブ, Urutoraman Ōbu, 2016), and is still active at the forefront of the music scene.

The songs, delivered by this strong lineup, will liven up this program, which follows the passionate "feelings" of the "New Generation Ultraman" that began with Ultraman Zero.
