Introduction
The genius military strategist Zhuge Kongming is reincarnated in modern times. His next wish is to bring peace to the world through the power of music.
The hugely popular manga Paripi Koumei, currently being serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine, has been a mega-hit with a total circulation of over 2.4 million copies. When it was adapted into the live-action Fuji TV series YA BOY KONGMING! in the fall of 2023, the strong characters, authentic music, and live performance scenes clicked with viewers, and the final episode became the number one trending topic on social media. YA BOY KONGMING! now returns on an even bigger scale as a feature film.
The story is set at the largest music battle festival in history, where Japan's three major music labels compete for the top spot. The live performance sequence, which brought together a total of more than 50 musicians and dancers and attracted an audience of more than 6,000 people, is the highlight of this film.
Cast members from the TV series have reunited, including Kongming (Osamu Mukai), who showed off numerous brilliant schemes in the show, singer Eiko Tsukimi (Moka Kamishiraishi), who showed off her crystal clear singing voice, Kobayashi (Mirai Moriyama), the owner of BB Lounge, who loves the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Kongming's lord Ryu i (Dean Fujioka). Also appearing as the new major enemies are Jun Sima (Fuju Kamio) and his sister, singer Shin (Shiba).
Many other diverse artists have participated! With stunning visuals that you won't want to miss even for a second and 18 superb songs, YA BOY KONGMING! THE MOVIE turns movie theaters into music festival venues this spring!

Synopsis
The legendary strategist of the Three Kingdoms, Zhuge Kongming, was mysteriously reborn in modern-day Shibuya. Mesmerized by the singing voice of amateur singer Eiko Tsukimi, Kongming decided to team up with Eiko to aim for "universal peace" through the power of music.
Meanwhile, a music battle festival is set to take place, where Japan's three major music labels — KEY TIME, SSS Music, and V-EX — compete for the top spot. As formidable artists from each label gather, Kongming and Eiko decide to join the battle as well. However, standing in their way are the descendants of Sima Yi, who was Kongming's archrival from the Three Kingdoms period, Jun Sima and Shin.
Where will Kongming and Eiko's journey take them?
A fateful battle reborn after 1,800 years — two geniuses clash in a war of strategy and music!
