Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is offering SciFi Japan readers a chance to win the new DVD edition of Studio Ghibli’s THE RED TURTLE. A remarkable collaboration between Studio Ghibli and Academy Award-winning director/animator Michael Dudok de Wit (2000, Best Animated Short Film, FATHER AND DAUGHTER), THE RED TURTLE is a wordless examination of one man’s solitary search for survival and companionship. The movie was an Academy Award-nominee for Best Animated Feature Film, won both the Annie Award for Best Independent Animated Film and the Un Certain Regard Prize at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and was also an official selection at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival. Special features on THE RED TURTLE DVD include two behind-the-scenes featurettes, an AFI Fest Q&A with director Michael Dudok de Wit, and director`s audio commentary. The SRP is $26.99.

Prize: A. There are two (3) prizes, with each prize consisting of one (1) THE RED TURTLE DVD. B. Prizes will be shipped to the contest winners so entrants must include a valid mailing address. This contest is only open to participants in the United States and Canada. C. In the event that a winner chooses not to (or cannot) accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. D. One entry per person. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution of prizes allowed. Duration of contests: A. The "THE RED TURTLE" contest runs from May 1 until 11:59pm on May 10, 2017. How to enter: A. Submit your name, email address, and mailing address for the random drawing. B. Be sure to write "THE RED TURTLE" in the subject header of your email entry. SciFi Japan often runs multiple contests at the same time, so any entries without "THE RED TURTLE" in the subject header will be discarded. Determination of winners: A. Only contestants who have submitted the requested information will be entered in the final drawing. The first three randomly drawn eligible entries will be judged the winners for this contest. B. SciFi Japan is not responsible for typographical, electronic or other errors in Internet operation affecting the offering, outcome, administration of the contest or the announcement of prizes.
