After a wet and stormy spring, the Champagne region experienced alternating hot and cool spells in 2008. The summer was cool and the air was dry with little sunshine, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and surely. The difference in temperatures gave the fruit concentration and intensity of the vintage, resulting in a Champagne with concentrated flavor and depth.
The Vintage 2008 has a buttery nose with beautiful hints of fresh honey and savory spices.
The palate is full of savory flavors of honey and rich hazelnuts, with a long, exquisite finish of lemony citrus flavors.
