Aoyagi Sohonke Co., Ltd. press release

The sweets company Aoyagi Sohonke Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Moriyama-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Takashi Goto), which manufactures and sells foods such as “Aoyagi Uiro” (a traditional Japanese confectionery from Nagoya made from rice flour, sugar, water, and seasonal ingredients.) and “Frog Manju” (shaped pastries filled with red bean paste), has partnered with Tsuburaya Productions to produce limited  “Aoyagi Ultraman Uiro” (青柳ウルトラマンういろう, Aoyagi Urutoraman Uirō) snacks.

This food was created to commemorate the start of the latest Ultaman television series ULTRAMAN BLAZAR (ウルトラマンブレーザー, Urutoraman Burēzā), which premiered this past July 8th.

In addition to the new hero Ultraman Blazar, the product packaging feature heroes such as Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Zero, and Ultraman Decker. On the side of each package an Ultra Hero's transformation device is drawn, allowing buyers to also use it for pretend play.

Two flavors of  “Aoyagi Ultraman Uiro” will have preview sales at the Ultra Heroes EXPO 2023 Summer Festival in Ikebukuro Sunshine City starting this Saturday, July 22. All seven flavors will go on sale to the general public at Aoyagi Sohonke's Esca Direct Dealer Store (Nagoya Station) starting Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Aoyagi Sohonke has announced plans for an ongoing collaboration with Ultraman with the goal of expanding  Aoyagi Uiroi into the Japanese sweets world beyond Nagoya.
