HIDIVE announced today that it acquired streaming rights to the raucous anime comedy feature, KAiJU GIRLS BLACK (?????? ?????????????, Kaij? Musume (Kuro) ~Urutora Kaij? Gijin-ka Keikaku~, 2018) for audiences in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, and South, Central and Latin American countries. The movie, which stars anthropomorphized girl versions of monsters from Tsuburaya Productions` ULTRAMAN franchise, begins streaming on HIDIVE beginning March 20, 2020 at 17:00 UTC. After years of war against the monstrous kaiju, the world finally knows a time of prosperity and peace -- but the presence of the kaiju can still be felt. Girls with the souls of kaiju are born every so often, and each is gifted with the unusual abilities of kaiju! An organization called GIRLS has collected the kaiju girls to defend the earth, but rising from the shadows comes BLACK STARS, a troupe of evil kaiju girls who just recruited their latest -- and somewhat bewildered -- new member... Produced by Yumeta Company (MY SWEET TYRANT), KAiJU GIRLS BLACK is directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto (Problem children are coming from another world, aren`t they?) with scriptwriting from Kento Shimoyama (NO GAME, NO LIFE). The series stars Hiyori Nitta (PASTEL MEMORIES) as COMMANDER BLACK, Yuki Yagi (MY GIRLFRIEND IS SHOBITCH) as ALIEN PEGASSA, Minami Takahashi (FOOD WARS!) as SILVERBLOOME and Kaori Ishihara (MAID SAMA!) as NOVA.
